Elmgrove Centre Wedding Photography
I’m still trying to catch up with blogging some weddings from last year so today I’ve got the wonderful Andy and Beth who had a fantastic Elmgrove Centre Wedding in Bristol. If you want to have a look at the pre wedding photographs in Clifton from the first time they got in front of the camera then feel free to take a look.
The day started for me with heading over to meet Beth as the bridal preparations were taking place. For me this isn’t a time to try and capture photographs of people with no make up and hair all over the place but rather a gentle start to the day’s photography and a way of telling the story from start to finish.
Once Beth was ready I jumped into the car and headed the short distance to the Elmgrove Centre to get ready for the wedding ceremony. Andy was looking fairly relaxed as he waited for his bride to arrive. It was great to see such a packed congregation and it was easy to see how much it meant to both Andy and Beth having their ceremony held here.
Instead of confetti Andy and Beth’s wedding guests blew bubbles as they left and headed to the car ready for the next stage of the day.
From the suspension bridge it’s just a short drive to Westbury on Trym Village Hall which is where the reception was taking place. Westbury on Trym Village Hall is a fantastic venue for a wedding reception as it is completely a blank canvas and you can decorate it exactly as you’d like.
Following the meal I managed to get Beth and Andy to head outside for some couple portraits. I will always try and document the day as it happens and tell the story, capturing moments as they unfold but it’s always nice to be able to create some portraits of the newlyweds without the attention of their guests watching their every movement.
After the first dance the Ceilidh band had everyone dancing and the night started drawing in I was packing up and was just getting into my car to head off home when I saw the sky turn a lovely dramatic blue so I quickly grabbed a camera and got Andy & Beth to stand in front of my camera for one last shot.
