A Westonbirt House Wedding
Towards the end of last year I had the pleasure of heading off to the Cotswolds to photograph Rupinder and Barry’s Westonbirt House wedding. Westonbirt is a gorgeous part of the world with the majority of people knowing the area for the Arboretum but nestled just of the main road behind the gates and down the winding driveway lies Westonbirt House. It’s easy to say ‘house’ but it doesn’t really do any justice to this venue, there’s the amazing grounds and the stunning architecture of the house itself, it simply is a dream venue.
Rupinder got ready at the nearby Hare and Hounds so I started my day there to capture a few pictures of her getting ready with the help of her friend and bridesmaid before jumping into the car driven by her brother for the short trip to Westonbirt House,
The ceremony was held in the stunning Library followed by a drinks reception and canapes in the Reading Room and the wedding breakfast served in the Great Hall. Oh, maybe I should mention that Rupinder and Barry decided to bring in their own caterers to provide a fantastic Indian banquet for all their wedding guests.
Ill leave you to have a look through some of my favourite images from their wedding day and as always feel free to leave a comment if the mood takes you.
As you make your way down the winding drive you are suddenly greeted with this stunning building, once you get inside it’s equally as impressive.
I loved the colours of Rupinder’s wedding dress.
The Grand Hall is a wonderful spot for a wedding reception.
As the evening drew in the fog rolled in across the grounds and I was lucky enough to be able to persuade Rupinder and Barry to brave the chill for a quick photograph.
The happy couple were escorted into the Library by a couple of drummers before cutting the wedding cake made from cheese.
At a wedding some people shy away from the dancefloor……..others don’t!
There was even an impromptu guest appearance from Panjabi MC who happened to be a wedding guest.
